Holiday Wellness Gift Guide

Holiday Gift Guide.png

As a massage therapist and a yoga teacher, I am interested in your health and well being. Mind. Body. Spirit. These elements of ourselves have to be in balance in order for us to be of service to our life and the people who are involved. So I’ve compiled a little list of my favorite people and things to help inspire your holiday shopping to be a little more nourishing for your recipients. Think LOCAL, LESS CORPORATE , and SMALL. When you buy from a small business you support actual people!

1. Mudita Thai Bodywork Gift Certificate!

Ok, so this whole post is not going to be about me but I'm entitled to a little shameless plug, no ? haha

But in all seriousness massage therapy is a great gift especially for someone who puts them self last! We all know at least one person like that and they are amazingly selfless, so why not force them into some self care?

I have a full list of services for your loved ones to check out. There is something for everyone!

2. Sunshine Kate’s

Sunshine Kate has so many great offerings for you to ensure that your wellness needs are met on a weekly & monthly basis. From a beautiful infrared sauna to wellness coaching, Kate has created a list of holistic services for you that you can’t receive anywhere else! We share the same office so if you want to give the gift of a “wellness day” to a loved one, they can do it all in one place!

3. ‘Ohana Rising Yoga School

Located in Ocean Grove, Ohana is a special home to many ! Offering almost 40 classes a week including Dharma yoga, restorative, yin, meditation, Jivamukti yoga, Yin/Yang, Full moon yoga and more! Yoga & meditation are essential to connecting the mind to the body and bringing an awareness to our lives to help clear out those dark corners of ourselves in order to help us grow! True health is not only felt in the body. Health of the mind and consciousness are imperative for physical healing. You can purchase a gift certificate to help send someone you love on a good path.

4. Seed to Sprout

A vegan cafe located in Avon and Fairhaven, Seed to Sprout is a great place where you can get nice healthy vegan meals that are organic, NOT fake meat junk food and nutritious! As you should know by now, nutrition has a huge part in our overall well being. Going to a place like Seed will give you ideas on how to construct a vegan meal at home and show you that healthy food doesn’t have to be bland. Stop in to buy a gift certificate or to pick up a ‘lil treat to bring to a party!

5. Mississippi Vegan Cookbook

Wow! That’s what I said as I flipped through this cookbook. If you know me at all, you know that I’m an artist at heart & I’m very into the details. This is such a beautifully thought out book. The pictures are so beautiful and inspiring. The recipes are amazing & full of history & love. Timothy Pakron obviously put his heart & soul into this project. It’s a great gift to inspire the vegan & non- vegan in your life to make healthier food choices!

6. Daria Cali Gems

You may not think jewelry is a part of wellness but it can be! Daria is my talented friend and she makes these beautiful dainty necklaces out of real crystals. Crystals come from the earth and have a vibration to them. They are really healing. When you come into my office you may notice that you are kinda surrounded by them. When you wear crystals on your body it can contribute to your emotional well being. Different crystals have different healing properties. Daria combines the crystals in her unique style & strings them on a simple thread. They are each one of a kind and make a great gift! You can find her gems at Red Moon in Asbury Park & Soulshine in Avon. Check Daria out on instagram @dariacaligems

7. Anima Mundi Apothecary

Anima Mundi is a beautiful company that produces and sell adaptogenic herbs, elixirs, tonics, spiritual tools and more. Whether you want to fight a cold, prevent getting sick or just over all feel great, this company has some great stuff to choose from. You can read all about their interesting founder and what they have to offer on their site.

8. Palo Santo Wellness Boutique

If you find yourself in South Philly this holiday shopping season check out my friends Daniel & Rachel’s space! First of all, you won’t meet nicer people and second, their little corner of South Philly is so dreamy. They have a beautiful eclectic boutique and one store down is their yoga space. The boutique has their apothecary where Rachel, an herbalist, can formulate herbs for you if you book an herbal consultation. Plus they carry a variety of products like Anima Mundi, various holistic products that are locally crafted, (including their very own product that they just came out with), and interesting trinkets from their travels to India. You won’t be bored !

9. RMS Beauty

“Several years ago, Rose-Marie began to experience some health issues that were causing many problems physically, mentally and emotionally. After an extensive series of tests, she learned that her blood contained toxic levels of heavy metals including aluminum, barium, cadmium, lead and mercury as well as high levels of pesticides and other chemicals. Rose-Marie was surprised when the technician asked if she worked in the cosmetics industry. Until then she had no idea that cosmetics could contribute to serious health issues. After years of rebuilding her own health, Rose-Marie realized that she wanted to help other women claim their right to healthy beauty. To achieve this goal she created RMS Beauty, her acclaimed line of organic color cosmetics.”

It is said that women who wear conventional makeup are exposed to 1000’s of chemicals everyday! These chemicals disrupt our hormones and glands, eventually leading to disease. This company goes above and beyond to explain whats in their product. It’s not your typical health food store make up, this is beautiful, luxury, chemical free make up. What we put on our skin is just as important as what we eat. Our skin is eating whatever you put on it ! This company is not a small local company but they are setting the stage for a shift in the cosmetic world for no animal testing and bringing awareness to exposure to harsh chemicals. You know I gotta support that!

10. Kauai Farmacy

This small company located on Kauai, Hawaii is so incredible. They grow and dry their herbs on a beautiful piece of property on Kauai. They go beyond the standard to ensure that everything is grown in a sustainable way & always organic. They have tinctures, loose tea, salves, super foods, spices and more. I first got into the company a couple years ago when I was doing a raw food cleanse for several months and was looking for a detox tea. I got the “woman’s wellness blend” to help support the hormones, digestive system, and liver function to name a few. It’s a great company to support as these are few and far between.
